With the aim of projecting the work of Portuguese Textile and Clothing Industry in the national and international market, CENIT<\/strong> with the support of ANIVEC<\/strong> distinguished with the Business Excellence Awards <\/strong>the companies that stood out the most in different areas of competitiveness.<\/p>\n

Ramiro & Carvalho<\/strong><\/a>, in Industry 4.0<\/strong>, Confetil<\/strong><\/a>, in sustainability<\/strong>, Portuguese Flannel<\/strong><\/a>, in brands<\/strong>, and Anglotex<\/strong><\/a>, with the biggest increase in exports, were the four companies distinguished for their good practices.<\/p>\n

\u00abSince 2017, and including this year’s winners, we have already distinguished 38 companies\u00bb, says Lu\u00eds Hall Figueiredo, president of CENIT. \u00abThese companies are highlighted as an example, for their good practices in different areas, and can be a reference for others, so that a virtuous cycle is created that further boosts the competitiveness of the Portuguese clothing industry\u00bb, he adds.<\/p>\n

The Excellence Awards were awarded at the MODAPORTUGAL LINKS<\/strong> event, which also included a European Young Fashion Designers Competition<\/strong>, which represented the culmination of an action to promote the Portuguese Clothing Industry among specialized European designers and journalists.<\/p>\n

After a two-day program of visits to the companies Calvelex<\/a>, Polopiqu\u00e9<\/a>, Riopele <\/a><\/strong>and Val\u00e9rius Recycling Centre<\/strong><\/a> to get to know the Portuguese Textile and Clothing Industry, 18 emerging Designers<\/strong> from six European Fashion schools \u2014 Aalto University (Finland), Institut Fran\u00e7ais de la Mode (France), Polimoda (Italy), Modatex Porto (Portugal), London College of Fashion (United Kingdom), and Head Gen\u00e8ve (Switzerland)<\/strong> \u2014 presented their projects to an international jury chaired by Eduarda Abbondanza and composed of Miguel Flor from Portugal, Jenny Hyt\u00f6nen from Finland, Serge Carreira from France, Mira Wanderlust from Italy, and Johnson Gold from the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n

Maxence Guenin<\/strong><\/a>, from Head Gen\u00e8ve (Switzerland) <\/strong>won the Best Collection Award. <\/strong>The jury also chose one winner from each participating country: Ne\u017ea Sim\u010di\u010d <\/strong><\/a>from Aalto University (Finl\u00e2ndia), Carla Mignano <\/a><\/strong>from Institut Fran\u00e7ais de la Mode (Fran\u00e7a), Ian Morris McDonald <\/a><\/strong>from Polimoda (It\u00e1lia), Concei.to_Normal<\/a> (Maria Nunes) <\/strong>from Modatex Porto (Portugal),<\/strong> and Eden Sherry <\/strong><\/a>from London College of Fashion (Reino Unido)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

MODAPORTUGAL LINKS<\/strong> is part of the Lusitano Project, supported by the PRR \u2013 Recovery and Resilience Plan, and the Next Generation EU European Funds.<\/p>\n
