Following the success of its first year, Associa\u00e7\u00e3o ModaLisboa, with the continued support of the PVH Foundation<\/strong><\/a>, presents the second edition of the social impact program amanh\u00e3.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Based on the premise that information and education are essential pillars for a more equitable and dynamic sector, amanh\u00e3<\/a><\/strong><\/em> returns for its second year to empower young people at a crucial stage of their education. This innovative social impact project<\/strong> continues its mission to drive inclusion and expand employment opportunities in the Portuguese fashion industry by promoting careers with high employability \u2014 particularly in growing fields such as Sustainability and Technology \u2014 among students from various social and economic backgrounds.<\/p>\n

The program\u2019s first phase reached over 300 high school students, raising awareness about the wide range of opportunities available in the fashion industry through informative sessions covering topics such as Responsible Production, Artisanal Work, and Technological Innovation<\/strong>. In 2025, the project aims to engage 500 young people by visiting schools in the Lisbon and Porto metropolitan areas \u2014 regions of the country with the greatest diversity of communities. Data collected from the first edition serves as the strongest incentive for its continuation: 94% of students reported learning something new about the fashion industry<\/strong>, 74% said they had a preconceived notion that was challenged by the presentation, and 90% expressed interest in considering a career in fashion.<\/p>\n

Students who attend the school sessions can then apply for a five-day residency in Lisbon. The second phase of amanh\u00e3<\/strong><\/em> focuses on training<\/strong>, and the ten young people selected for their aptitude and motivation will receive workshops and mentoring, visit communication agencies and museums, and participate in other immersive experiences. The residency will be mentored by Constan\u00e7a Entrudo, Joana Duarte (B\u00c9HEN), or S\u00f3nia Jesus<\/strong>, with sessions designed to build a comprehensive program aimed at fostering direct contact with industry professionals, promoting best practices, and stimulating critical thinking.<\/p>\n

At the end of the residency, the mentors and Associa\u00e7\u00e3o ModaLisboa\u2019s team will evaluate the students’ body of work and select the winner of the amanh\u00e3<\/em> scholarship<\/strong>, valued at \u20ac15,000<\/strong>, which includes an 18-month course at Modatex Porto in a chosen fashion-related field\u2014options include Fashion Trade Specialist Technician, Textile Design Specialist Technician for Printing, Fashion Design, Fashion Seamstress (vocational apprenticeship) and Garment Modeller (vocational apprenticeship).<\/p>\n

Reinforcing its commitment to education and the diversity of young talent<\/strong>, amanh\u00e3<\/strong><\/em> continues to nurture this thriving ecosystem with significant growth potential, opening doors into a fashion industry that urgently needs new voices, perspectives, and talents.<\/strong> After all, the future is already here \u2014 it’s amanh\u00e3.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
