header_3_font=&#8221;Inter|700|||||||&#8221; locked=&#8221;off&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p><strong>MODALISBOA BASE<\/strong> kicks off tomorrow and runs until October 5, co-organised with the<strong> Municipality of Lisbon<\/strong>, supported by the <strong>Portugal Events<\/strong> programme of <strong>Turismo de Portugal<\/strong>, and made possible thanks to the essential contribution of sector associations, partners and sponsors.<\/p>\n<p>With its epicentre at P\u00e1tio da Gal\u00e9 and a programme that unfolds across various venues throughout the city, the 65th edition of Lisboa Fashion Week sets out a week dedicated to reflection, creation, and experimentation, intersecting independent fashion, sustainability, technology, and cultural heritage.<\/p>\n<p>The official kick-off takes place today at the Italian Embassy in Lisbon, with the <a href=\"https:\/\/modalisboa.pt\/en\/modalisboa-base-en\/designers-base-en\/ied-repeat-the-action\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>IED: REPEAT THE ACTION<\/strong><\/a> show, showcasing the work of 13 young Designers from the IED \u2013 Istituto Europeo di Design network, proposing a reflection on repetition as a tool for transformation.<\/p>\n<p>Tomorrow, the programme focuses on <strong>MUDE \u2013 Museum of Design<\/strong>, with the FAST TALKS and the opening of the beat by be@t exhibition. This season, the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/modalisboa.pt\/en\/modalisboa-base\/talks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FAST TALKS<\/a><\/strong>, moderated by Rui Maria P\u00eago, take shape as spaces for critical thinking and open debate with the community. Two key themes guide the conversations: <strong>Crafting the BASE: Reframing Heritage in Contemporary Design<\/strong> explores heritage and materiality as responses to the challenges of sustainability and innovation; <strong>Branding the BASE: A New Strategy for Independent Businesses<\/strong> focuses on strategies to strengthen the autonomy of independent brands in an ever-accelerating industry. More information, <a href=\"https:\/\/modalisboa.pt\/en\/modalisboa-base\/talks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>here.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Following the talks, also at MUDE, opens the exhibition <a href=\"https:\/\/modalisboa.pt\/en\/modalisboa-base-en\/exhibitions-base\/beat-by-beat-3\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>beat by be@t<\/strong>,<\/a> showcasing the outcomes of the third edition of the sustainability innovation programme for the Textile and Fashion Industry, led by CITEVE and BCSD Portugal. On view until \u00a0October 5, with free entry, the exhibition presents four circular and sustainable textile projects developed by teams of fashion designers and SMEs. The<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/modalisboa.pt\/en\/modalisboa-base\/fashion-house\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FASHION HOUSE<\/a><\/strong>, a new multidisciplinary venue with free access (and selected invite-only moments), opens on Thursday, <strong>October 2,<\/strong> at <strong>Palacete Gomes Freire<\/strong>. With its own programme, showcases focused on technology and cultural heritage, a lounge and meeting point, and fashion presentations by <strong>Roselyn Silva<\/strong> (Oct 2, 6PM),<strong> Ana Margarida Feij\u00e3o<\/strong> (Oct 2, 7:30PM), <strong>Gandaia<\/strong> (Oct 2, 9PM) and <strong>Sara Maia<\/strong> (Oct 3, 3PM).<\/p>\n<p>But the FASHION HOUSE is more than just an exhibition or performance space. The <strong>Lisboa Fashion Week\u2019s shop<\/strong> returns with creations by ARNDES, B\u00e1rbara Atan\u00e1sio, B\u00c9HEN, Dino Alves, DuarteHajime, Francisca Nabinho, Isza x Sara Valdez, Kolovrat, Lu\u00eds Carvalho, Lu\u00eds Buchinho, Mestre Studio, Nuno Baltazar, Ricardo Andrez, Roselyn Silva, and Valentim Quaresma. In another room, Bazofo &amp; Dentu Zona bring a manual screen-printing atelier straight from Cova da Moura, inviting the public to actively participate in customising their own garments.<\/p>\n<p>Also launching on <strong>October 2<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/modalisboa.pt\/en\/modalisboa-base\/modalisboa-na-avenida\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em><strong>ModaLisboa na Avenida<\/strong><\/em><\/a> is a new initiative in partnership with the Avenida da Liberdade Association, extending Lisboa Fashion Week along this iconic avenue with workshops, talks, cocktails, and collaborative events with Lisboa Fashion Week\u2019s designers in ateliers, shops, restaurants, and hotels \u2014 connecting diverse audiences and creating new meeting points. The programme runs through to the closing of Lisboa Fashion Week, repositioning the city as a space for mediation, idea exchange, and community building.<\/p>\n<p>From 3 to 5 October, P\u00e1tio da Gal\u00e9 returns as the central base of activity. On <strong>October 3<\/strong> at <strong>6PM,<\/strong> the <a href=\"https:\/\/modalisboa.pt\/en\/modalisboa-base\/sangue-novo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>SANGUE NOVO<\/strong><\/a> <strong>supported by <a href=\"https:\/\/seaside.pt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Seaside<\/a><\/strong> competition gives the spotlight to eight fresh voices in emerging design: <strong>Adja Baio, Ariana Orrico, do Cruzeiro SEIXAS Eva, ELIO, In\u00eas Almeida, Mafalda Sim\u00f5es, Mariana Garcia, and Usual Suspect<\/strong>. At the end of the show, the five finalists progressing to the next stage of the Young Designers Competition will be announced. In March 2026, they will compete for the ModaLisboa x IED \u2013 Istituto Europeo di Design and ModaLisboa x Burel Factory awards.<\/p>\n<p>At 8PM, takes place the first <a href=\"https:\/\/modalisboa.pt\/en\/modalisboa-base\/workstation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>WORKSTATION DESIGN<\/strong> <\/a><strong>supported by <a href=\"https:\/\/jeanlouisdavid.pt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jean Louis David<\/a><\/strong> show, reinforcing the platform\u2019s role in promoting new fashion languages. <strong>Francisca Nabinho<\/strong> and <strong>B\u00e1rbara Atan\u00e1sio<\/strong> present their new collections with the key support of Jean Louis David. The evening continues with the shows by <strong>Alves\/Gon\u00e7alves<\/strong> and <strong>2B.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, <strong>October 4<\/strong>, the programme starts at 3PM with <strong>Portuguese Soul by Apiccaps<\/strong> at <strong>Moldo Studios<\/strong>, and continues at P\u00e1tio da Gal\u00e9 with the runway shows by <strong>Gabriel Silva Barros <\/strong>and <strong>Mestre Studio<\/strong> (WORKSTATION DESIGN supported by Jean Louis David), <strong>Lu\u00eds Onofre, Gon\u00e7alo Peixoto, Kolovrat, <\/strong>and <strong>Carlos Gil.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At <strong>MUDE \u2013 Design Museum<\/strong>, two exclusive presentations are scheduled: <strong>B\u00c9HEN <\/strong>and <strong>Olga Noronha<\/strong> (in addition to this moment, Olga Noronha\u2019s exhibition will be open to the public on 4 and 5 October).<\/p>\n<p>On <strong>October 5<\/strong>, at 2PM, <strong>Constan\u00e7a Entrudo<\/strong> hosts a special launch at the new venue <strong>Castle Hi Hi Hi<\/strong>, followed by <strong>Nuno Baltazar<\/strong>&#8216;s presentation at <strong>MUDE<\/strong>, at 3PM. At 4:30 PM, P\u00e1tio da Gal\u00e9 once again becomes the base for the runway shows: <strong>\u00c7al Pfungst, ARNDES<\/strong> (WORKSTATION DESIGN supported by Jean Louis David), <strong>DuarteHajime, Valentim Quaresma, Dino Alves,<\/strong> and <strong>Lu\u00eds Carvalho.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lisboa Fashion Week reaffirms its role as a mediator between creators and the community, ensuring that the shows remain accessible both in person and online.
