Mafalda Sim\u00f5es<\/strong> and Ariana Orrico<\/strong> are the big winners of the Young Designers competition, Sangue Novo.<\/strong><\/p>\n After reviewing the collections presented by the five finalists, the jury \u2014 composed of Miguel Flor (designer and creative director, president of the jury), Joana Jorge (Project Manager, Associa\u00e7\u00e3o ModaLisboa), Anastasia Bilous (Fashion Editor, ELLE Ukraine), Federico Cina (Fashion Designer), Federico Poletti (Scientific Leader in Fashion Marketing & Communication, IED Milano) and Filipa Homem (Creative Director, Burel Factory) \u2014 awarded Mafalda Sim\u00f5es<\/a> <\/strong>with the ModaLisboa x <\/strong>IED \u2013 Istituto Europeo di Design<\/strong><\/a> prize. The award includes attendance at a Master\u2019s Programme in Fashion Design at IED Rome, valued at \u20ac19,400, or in Fashion Marketing at IED Milan, valued at \u20ac20,300, as well as a \u20ac4,000 grant.<\/p>\n Ariana Orrico<\/strong><\/a> received the ModaLisboa x Burel Factory<\/a><\/strong> prize, which offers the opportunity to participate in a one-month creative residency at Burel Factory, with technical and creative support from the brand\u2019s design team. The experience will allow the development of pieces in Burel materials and their presentation as a standalone collection on the Workstation platform at the next edition of Lisboa Fashion Week. The winner also receives a \u20ac1,000 grant to support the development of the new collection.<\/p>\n
