MODAPORTUGAL LINKS<\/strong> is an initiative promoted by CENIT<\/a> <\/strong>\u2013 Textile Intelligence Centre and ANIVEC<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 National Association of the Clothing and Garment Industry, bringing together emerging European Designers, educational institutions, industry representatives and international experts in a programme dedicated to innovation,<\/strong> Sustainability<\/strong> and the promotion of the Portuguese Textile and Clothing Industry.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Held in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2024 and 2025, the project has, since its inception, been curated and produced by Associa\u00e7\u00e3o ModaLisboa<\/strong>. Throughout its different editions, it has established itself as a meeting point<\/strong> between education, creativity and production<\/strong>, fostering knowledge exchange and the development of long-term relationships between different actors across the sector.<\/p>\n

Through company and technology centre visits, competitions, conferences and business recognition initiatives, MODAPORTUGAL LINKS<\/strong> showcases the innovation capacity, technical expertise and sustainable development of the Portuguese industry to participants from some of Europe\u2019s most relevant academic and professional contexts.<\/p>\n

INDUSTRY TOUR & YOUNG DESIGNERS COMPETITION<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The European Young Fashion Designers Competition<\/strong> is one of the programme\u2019s central moments. Bringing together students and recent graduates from some of Europe\u2019s most prestigious Fashion schools, the initiative offers an immersive experience<\/strong> within the Portuguese Textile and Clothing Industry.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Over several days, participants visit leading companies and technology centres, gaining direct contact with research processes, product development, material innovation and manufacturing. The programme culminates in the presentation of projects to an international jury and the awarding of prizes recognising both individual participants and the best collection of each edition.<\/p>\n

Eduarda Abbondanza, President of Associa\u00e7\u00e3o ModaLisboa, has been involved in the project since its creation as President of the European Young Fashion Designers Competition Jury.<\/p>\n

BUSINESS EXCELLENCE AWARDS<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Business Excellence Awards<\/strong> recognise Portuguese companies that stand out in areas that are fundamental to the development of the Textile and Clothing Industry, including innovation, internationalisation, Sustainability, investment, digitalisation and business growth.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Integrated within the MODAPORTUGAL LINKS programme, the awards celebrate organisations that contribute to the competitiveness and international projection of the sector, highlighting the role of Portuguese industry as a benchmark for knowledge, manufacturing capacity and innovation.<\/p>\n
