Runway shows unfold across museums, public spaces and historic landmarks, while exhibitions, talks, studio visits and late dinners keep the city in constant motion. Designers, buyers, editors, photographers, manufacturers, artists and industry leaders all find themselves in the same city, crossing paths throughout the week.<\/p>\n Across the programme, new collections sit alongside contemporary craft, new materials and digital experimentation. Emerging designers meet established names. International guests cross paths with local manufacturers. Creative practice meets industry, and culture meets business. By bringing together perspectives that rarely share the same stage, the conference offers a broader understanding of how fashion is designed, produced, supported and sustained.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n FAST TALKS<\/strong> Moderated by Rui Maria P\u00eago, Fast Talks features activist and creative V\u00edtor Sanches, founder of Bazofo and Dentu Zona, two community-led projects based in Cova da Moura; Miguel Flor, founder of (re)Veste, a community initiative promoted by Centro Social de Soutelo in Gondomar that combines social inclusion, circular economy and garment transformation; and Portuguese actress and model Sofia Apar\u00edcio, known for her social and humanitarian activism.<\/p>\n As fashion continues to redefine its place within society, questions of participation, responsibility and collective value have become impossible to ignore. Drawing on projects rooted in community work, social inclusion and cultural intervention, Fast Talks explores fashion’s capacity to generate lasting impact beyond the product, offering perspectives shaped by lived experience and everyday practice.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n WORKSHOPS<\/strong> Led by industry specialists, the workshops are designed for designers, founders and independent fashion brands looking to strengthen the long-term development of their practice. Spanning different generations and visual languages, the exhibition reveals how fashion photography has documented, interpreted and challenged Portuguese fashion over the past three decades.<\/p>\n Housed at Sociedade Nacional de Belas Artes, the exhibition recognises fashion photography as an essential part of Portugal’s artistic and creative heritage. A parallel programme of conversations between the curator and participating creatives extends the exhibition, offering insight into the images, collaborations and visual culture that have shaped ModaLisboa across 35 years.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n WEARABLE ART<\/strong> Developed in collaboration with Double J Gallery, Wearable Art presents works by national and international artists working across art, craft and design.
