OPIAR | CLOSED EYES ARE BLIND EYES FW 20/21
Closed Windows are Blind Eyes is inspired by Blindness, the book by José Saramago, and reinterprets the inability to see as a place and not an invisible being. Like a quarantine where groups of blind people allied by selfishness and nonchalance are concentrated, mistaken in deepening their disbelief for the future. The idea of blindness is personified as a space where its stakeholders do not want to leave, losing contact with other realities and becoming diluted in a new blind society, which sees, but does not want to see and feels but does not want to feel. “[…] I think we are not blinded, I think we are blind, Blind who see, Blind who, seeing, do not see.”
José Saramago.
