ModaLisboa Base

10 September '25

MODALISBOA BASE presents a calendar that highlights the diversity of its creative ecosystem, with 23 Fashion Presentations and 53 Portuguese and international Designers and brands.

The shows begin on September 30: the kick-off of Lisboa Fashion Week will take place at the Italian Embassy in Lisbon, with an evening dedicated to new names from the IED – Istituto Europeo di Design network. IED: REPEAT THE ACTION brings together works by Carlotta Gadda, Haiqi Zhou, Daniele Dargenio, Simone Smeriglio, Denise Vecchi, Anna Serra, Arianna Pejrani, Roberto Niutta, Natalia Arroyas, Miguel Conde Garcia-Mochales, Michel Mahfoud, Eloi Sacristan, and Ainhize Ganzabal Santiago, proposing a reflection on repetition as a tool for transformation.

After this special opening event of MODALISBOA BASE, the calendar of presentations resumes on October 2: the debut of the FASHION HOUSE will be marked by new names at Lisbon Fashion Week, with performative happenings at Palacete Gomes Freire by Roselyn Silva; Ana Margarida Feijão; and Gandaia.

At MUDE – Museum of Design, three exclusive presentations will take place: BÉHEN and Olga Noronha on Saturday (in addition to this invitation-only event, Olga Noronha’s exhibition will also be open to the public from October 3 to 5), and Nuno Baltazar on Sunday. The presentation of the APICCAPS editorial project Portuguese Soul will also be off-location, at Moldo Studios, while Constança Entrudo will host a special launch at the new Castle Hi Hi Hi.

From October 3 to 5, Pátio da Galé once again becomes the base of operations, with the return of the SANGUE NOVO supported by Seaside competition, alongside Alves/Gonçalves, 2B, Luís Onofre, Gonçalo Peixoto, Kolovrat, Carlos Gil, DuarteHajime, Valentim Quaresma, Dino Alves, and Luís Carvalho. Among the highlights of this edition is the debut of WORKSTATION DESIGN supported by Jean Louis David, further consolidating the role of the experimentation platform in affirming new fashion languages. The three shows of this new generation of creators benefit from strong structural support from the brand, ensuring presentation and production conditions — from venue and casting to technical teams and hair creation by a specialized Jean Louis David team. In addition to logistical support, the brand also awards the Empowerment Prize to three Designers — ARNDES, Bárbara Atanásio, and Mestre Studio — valued at €2,600, reinforcing the importance of investing in the growth and consistency of authorial careers. Joining them are Çal Pfungst, Francisca Nabinho, and Gabriel Silva Barros, forming a collective of authors who, through WORKSTATION DESIGN supported by Jean Louis David, test and expand the possibilities of contemporary Fashion Design.
