Written by Efthimis Filippou, a long-time collaborator of Greek filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos, Rosebush Pruning follows an American family living in isolation in a luxurious mansion in Catalonia, where material privilege contrasts with the fragility of their family relationships. Amidst carefully constructed environments, opulent interiors, and a distinctive wardrobe, the film proposes a reflection on how fashion, image, and style codes intersect with power and privilege, revealing how aesthetics can function as a language of belonging, influence, and distinction.

With a cast that includes Callum Turner, Riley Keough, Jamie Bell, Lukas Gage, Elena Anaya, Elle Fanning, Tracy Letts, and Pamela Anderson, Rosebush Pruning continues the visual language that characterizes Karim Aïnouz’s work, making wardrobe and image construction central elements of the narrative.

Born in Fortaleza in 1966, Karim Aïnouz is one of the most recognized Brazilian directors of today. His filmography includes titles such as Madame Satã, O Céu de Suely, Praia do Futuro, A Vida Invisível and Motel Destino, which have been screened at some of the most important international festivals, including Cannes, Berlin and Venice.
