EFÉMERA

The “Efémera” collection was inspired by the Selenicereus grandiflorus cactus. Native to the Antilles, Mexico and Central America, this cactus is known for its rarity and the ephemeral nature of its flower, which blooms only once a year, at night.

“Efémera” highlights two conceptions of time: the slow time of dedication and care for every detail of the creative process and the unique moment when it materializes in an exclusive piece.

The collection uses mostly natural materials and traditional techniques such as weaving. The flowers that make up the details were designed, cut and some silk screened by hand, reinforcing the exclusive nature of the collection. Elements such as the holes in the knits, far from being mistakes, are a reference to the natural imperfections that enrich the landscape. The use of resin made it possible to add plasticity to some of the pieces and capture specific, ephemeral moments of their movement.

“Efémera” celebrates creation and exclusivity, combining ancestral and contemporary techniques to reinforce contrasts and reveal something unique, like the blossoming of the ephemeral cactus flower on which the collection is inspired.
