ModaLisboa X IED Istituto Europeo di Design Award

The final of the SANGUE NOVO competition, supported by Seaside, showcased five young designers — Dri Martins, Duarte Jorge, Francisca Nabinho, Gabriel Silva Barros, and Ihanny Luquessa — whose collections demonstrated a deep understanding of textile materiality, made possible through partnerships between ModaLisboa and Calvelex/Fabrics4Fashion, RDD Textiles, and Riopele.

Technical excellence and bold conceptual approaches were carefully evaluated by the jury, culminating in the awarding of the ModaLisboa x IED Istituto Europeo di Design Award to Duarte Jorge and the ModaLisboa x RDD Textiles Award to Gabriel Silva Barros — both of whom also received the ModaLisboa x Showpress Award. A celebration of emerging talent and a boost to the renewal of the national creative landscape.
