The ICE-Institute for Italian Foreign Trade, in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Lisbon and CNA Federmoda within the scope of the international project WeLoveModaInItaly, organized a Fashion event to present to the Portuguese public the projects of the Italian Designers: Cló di Claudia B., Daphné Sanremo, Lidosettantaquattroh, Maison Luigi Borbone e Syrtaria – L’arte del cucito.
The event was an important showcase for Made in Italy, highlighting how the Italian fashion industry continues to be a reference for excellence and innovation, from traditional tailoring techniques to the most contemporary and avant-garde design.
The fashion show was followed by a moment of conviviality that allowed professionals from the Italian and Portuguese industry to deepen the dialogue with the main Italian personalities present at the event, including local business people and journalists, aiming for future collaborations.
In his opening speech, the ambassador Claudio Miscia highlighted the richness of the Italian territory, which comes from its history. Many cities in Italy were capitals, not only political and economic, but also artistic: “Rome, Milano, Firenze, Ravenna, Turin, Palermo, Napoli, Modena, Parma… are cities full of beauty. Italians are born, live and grow in this beauty.” It is because of this artistic wealth that Italians have “the ability to see and create beautiful things. Fashion is one of the beauties that we know how to create.”
Through these initiatives, the Italian Embassy confirms its decisive role in promoting and supporting Italian excellence abroad. A commitment that continues to strengthen relations between Italy and Portugal, uniting two cultures rich in history and tradition through a common passion for art and beauty.
