Masterclass, Apiccaps, CTCP, ModaLisboa
ModaLisboa presents the masterclass DOIS PASSOS DO FUTURO [Two Steps from the Future] on 20th of January, at 5 pm, at MUDE – Museu do Design’s auditorium. This training action is integrated into the exhibition of the same name, which maps the sustainable transformation pathway of the Portuguese footwear industry led by APICCAPS.
The masterclass will be led by Maria José Ferreira, Research Director at CTCP – Centro Tecnológico do Calçado de Portugal, and by Joana Jorge, Project Manager of the ModaLisboa Association. Drawing from the BioShoes4All programme, the session brings together scientific research, material innovation and strategic thinking.
Aimed at students, professionals and all those interested in the intersections between Fashion, Sustainability, Technology and Innovation, this training action positions itself as a structured learning field. Direct contact with the innovative work of the footwear cluster, particularly in the areas of bioresources and the valorisation of biological and residual raw materials, opens up possibilities for knowledge transfer to other fashion practices, unlocking creative solutions and broadening production horizons. By clarifying ecodesign processes, material decision criteria and industrial integration logics, the masterclass helps to demystify concepts that are often treated abstractly, transforming technical literacy into critical and operational capability.
Admission is free, subject to registration here.
The exhibition DOIS PASSOS DO FUTURO remains on view at MUDE until 25 January, with free entry.
