Workstation
WORKSTATION is a multidisciplinary platform in the fields of Fashion Design, Photography, and Video that promotes new approaches to conceptual thinking, processes, and presentation formats. It is a free and exploratory workspace, built by emerging creatives who are deepening their conceptual and material practices at the intersection of Fashion’s future, seeking — through talent and ingenuity — to amplify their voice within their communities.
WORKSTATION’s engagement with emerging creatives in multimedia introduces both national and international audiences of ModaLisboa | Lisboa Fashion Week to names that later become some of the most renowned in their fields, such as Ricardo Santos, Vera Marmelo, Arlindo Camacho, Cristiana Morais, and Leonor Bettencourt Loureiro.
In the field of Fashion Design, WORKSTATION is structured with a sense of continuity, aiming to empower young designers towards cohesive, concerted growth with real market impact. Supporting emerging designers at a critical stage in their careers, as well as encouraging collaborative work, helps to nurture, strengthen, and secure the future of Portuguese fashion. The platform brings together, in each edition of ModaLisboa | Lisboa Fashion Week, new designers with the talent and conceptual strengths needed to ensure the development of their brands.
