The World of Wine (WOW) is a new cultural district in Northern Portugal, located in the historical centre of Vila Nova de Gaia. WOW consists of five museums on the subjects of wine, cork, chocolate, Greater Porto and the private collection of the CEO, Adrian Bridge. The WOW district offers four restaurants, two cafés and a wine bar, and is also home to a wine school, shops, a space for temporary exhibitions and another for events. Situated on the south bank of the Douro River with breath-taking view over the Ribeira do Porto and the D. Luís I Bridge, WOW has been built from the restored and renovated old Port wine cellars, gaining a new life in the service of the region.  Launched on 31st of July 2020, WOW celebrates the culture, cuisine, history and industries of the region of Porto and Portugal. In 2021, WOW will open its sixth museum: Porto Fashion & Fabric – dedicated to the textile and fashion industry in Portugal. More information can be found at wow.pt.
