A MODALISBOA PROGRAMME SUPPORTED BY THE PVH FOUNDATION
amanhã (which means “Tomorrow”) was a program developed in 2024 and 2025 by the ModaLisboa with the support of the PVH Foundation, with the aim of promoting inclusion and creating new job opportunities in the Portuguese Fashion industry.
Aimed at young people completing high school, the program was designed to address two structural challenges in the contemporary context of the Fashion industry: the need to promote the representation of voices so that all young people, regardless of their social and economic background, have access to prosperous careers with fair remuneration and tangible progression; and the growing demand for talent in expanding areas such as Sustainability and Technological Innovation.
The program was developed over three phases, involving a broad community of young people in various geographical areas. In the first phase, 500 young people from schools in Lisboa and Porto were impacted by an awareness workshop on the fashion industry and the adoption of good consumption practices. In the second phase, the selected finalists participated in a week-long residency in Lisbon, which included training, practical workshops, and visits to the city’s most relevant studios, agencies, and cultural spaces. At the end of the residency, an 18-month scholarship at Modatex Porto was awarded, encouraging the entry of diverse profiles into the industry.
