Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Gabriel Bandeira moved to Portugal to finish his Fashion Design bachelor’s degree in ESAD – Escola Superior de Artes e Design, in Matosinhos.

During his stay in the country, he has participated in many events and worked with diverse brands, contributing to the local culture. With the help of several personalities, he found his place in the Fashion industry, flowing through design, arts and also working as a model.

Gabriel has recently created his multidisciplinary project M.PLATEAU, where he expresses himself through different media, and often collaborates with other artists.

[P]LUMES OF DISSIDENCE

This collection is a character study based on the archetype of the cold-hearted anti-hero, an individual that doesn’t allow his emotions to get in the way of his main mission, even when facing conflict of interests.

The silhouettes and fabrics were chosen to convey this feeling of a conflicted universe, such as the denim used in the previous collection, now coming back through different techniques that translate to this new allegory, with the addition of fabrics that turn towards the tailoring and army universes together with its shapes on a dark and muddy color scheme.

Throughout this project archive pieces were also utilized in the creation of new silhouettes, alongside with denim leftovers from the last collection, now worked with a new textile manipulation.
