Gran Canaria Swim Week comes to Lisboa Fashion Week as part of an international expansion project developed with the Gran Canaria Chamber of Commerce, building on its growing relationship with the Portuguese market. Promoted by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria under the Gran Canaria Moda Cálida programme, it is Europe’s only professional Fashion Week dedicated exclusively to swimwear.
The Lisbon programme also builds on the relationship established through the European Fashion Alliance, where Associação ModaLisboa and Gran Canaria Moda Cálida are both members. Bringing brands and industry professionals together in a new context, the project combines visibility and business development with opportunities to build connections between Portugal and Gran Canaria.
For this edition, Elena Morales presents La Costa, a collection of clean silhouettes, solid colours and timeless design, combining functionality with elegance. Carlota Guillemet’s Mommy Loves presents Isleña, drawing on the identity, landscapes and women of the Canary Islands. Maldito Sweet presents Maldito Crucero, reinterpreting nautical style through clean lines and a palette of black, khaki and white.
The programme begins on 7 October with an invitation-only networking event for industry professionals. On 8 and 9 October, pieces from all three collections will be on display at Moldo Studios, with free admission.
