MODAPORTUGAL HOME is an invitation to step inside Portugal’s Textile and Clothing Industry, shaped by proximity, knowledge, creativity and innovation.
Portugal has a highly integrated ecosystem in which Designers, manufacturers, suppliers and research centres work closely together. From raw materials and textiles to manufacturing and product development, this proximity allows generations of industrial know-how to intersect with advanced technology, agility and innovation.
HOME brings this ecosystem into physical form. A space to enter, touch and experience, where materials, design, technology and production meet. From circularity and digitalisation to new materials and smart textiles, the installation explores some of the developments reshaping the way Portuguese industry thinks, creates and produces.
Developed as part of the LUSITANO Project, supported by the PRR, the installation presents an industry deeply rooted in its manufacturing heritage while continuing to evolve and develop new approaches to creating and producing in Portugal.
A collaboration with Designer Constança Entrudo, featuring a digital print developed on Portuguese knitwear, embodies this intersection of creativity, technology and industrial expertise.
