Alexandra Sousa, a Fashion Designer born and raised in Matosinhos, Porto, develops an experimental practice focused on the exploration of the body, matter, and space. She graduated in Fashion Design from ESAD and, as a recent graduate, has been exploring different processes of construction, material manipulation, and techniques. Her work seeks to question the boundaries between the body and clothing, exploring Fashion as a space for transformation, expression, and identity.

EXTENDED explores clothing as an extension of the body, introducing elements such as hair, skin, texture, structure and deformation. The garments become a second bodily layer, simultaneously protective and expressive, questioning clothing as a simple form of covering. Through the reuse, deconstruction and transformation of existing materials, the project extends their lifespan and reduces the need for new resources, proposing a more sustainable and experimental approach.
