PAPER MODELS
“Paper Models” was born from a simplification exercise. In an effort to go back to basics, Louis Khan’s work appears as the main visual reference that guides the whole collection, both in shape and in colour.
This visual scenery is then combined with the idea of the model, used in architecture, but here worked as though origami or paper sculptures, closely associated with the idea of a puzzle. It brings a playful side to a very conceptual and rational approach on clothing, with the main work force being on pattern making, closely following the mockups made with paper. This approach leads to rethink patternmaking as a step to fight textile waste.
