Ihanny Luquessa, born in Angola, embarked on a journey to Portugal in 2020 to pursue his artistic vision. He graduated in Fashion Design from ETIC – School of Technologies, Innovation, and Creation.

His work is a bold exploration of form with an experimental approach. Ihanny deconstructs traditional garments, reimagining them with boundless creativity. Driven by the passion for performance art and fashion, he recently created the project “The Art of Seeing”, that transcends the boundaries of art, fashion, and identity, weaving them into a singular narrative.

SILENCE

The moment we reach full silence is when we are at the womb, when we meditate and when we die. Silence is the poetry of the dead man. This silence consists of the ego death of the Designer, exploring and understanding his deep emotions. The designer states that he feels like he is everything and nothing at the same time. This work is a personification of his own thoughts, from his experience of life as black African man. In the end he is just trying to apply color like words shape a poem and like notes shape a symphony.
