JUNE 18-20, 2019 | MARAIS | PARIS

Thinking about fashion today is no longer thinking just about formal presentations, neither about rules nor formulas. Thinking about fashion is thinking without borders and adding meaning and significance to clothing. Based on this larger vision, CENIT – Textile Intelligence Center in partnership with the sector associations ANIVEC / APIV (clothing), APICCAPS (footwear), AORP (jewelery) and MODALISBOA, promoted in Paris, in June 2017 and June 2019, the Showcase MODAPORTUGAL, a showcase of the Portuguese creativity excellence, which brought together clothing, accessories, lifestyle and designer’s brands.

After the first edition at Galerie Perrotin, in June 2017, the Showcase MODAPORTUGAL brought together the Portuguese creation in Paris in June 2019, to blur borders and preconceived images of how we consume and look at fashion. To open the door to new markets, new consumers and new perspectives that have not only focused on Made in Portugal but on the contribution that Portuguese innovation brings to today’s multiplatform dialogue.

Held during Men’s Fashion Week, the two editions of the Showcase MODAPORTUGAL were curated by Eduarda Abbondanza, president and creative director of ModaLisboa, and were attended by international journalists, fashion and lifestyle professionals, as well as several guests linked to the fashion universe from around the world.

Presenting Portugal as a creative and innovative country, with special talent in the fashion and design areas, from conception to production, is the main objective of this initiative, which is part of the “ModaPortugal Strategy”, defined by CENIT and ANIVEC / APIV, which includes several promotional actions in the internationalization area, image and communication.
