SINGULAR TECH FOR A PLURAL FUTURE

The relationship between technology and fashion is symbiotic, concrete and historical. But in recent years it has gained a new adjective: transversal. The acceleration of this disciplinary intersection has multiplied education, creation, production and communication solutions with the introduction of tools such as 3D modelling, Artificial Intelligence and New Media. This elevation of digital to a singular role in the future of Industry will be clarified by a panel of speakers whose practices extend from teaching to design and artistic thinking.

HOST: RUI MARIA PÊGO

35 years old. 16 of them spent between the Radio, Theater and Television. Graduated in History from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, and Master in Fine Arts in Professional Acting from Bristol Old Vic Theater School (UK), he is the author of "Filho da Mãe", a satirical series that premiered on Canal Q in 2015. He has already hosted shows on the three main Portuguese TV channels and invented many others on several radio stations (Radar, Sudoeste, Mega Hits), and is currently on Rádio Comercial, where he conducts the interview program/podcast "Debaixo da Língua", and "TNT- Todos no Top". He closed 2023 in a production for BBC Radio Three about the poet Fernando Pessoa, "All I Was When I Wasn't Anyone", after being one of four Portuguese artists in "École des Maîtres" by French-Argentine director Marcial di Fonzo Bo, and one of the actors chosen for edition number 8 of "Passaporte Lisboa", an initiative by the Portuguese Cinema Academy.
Passionate about fashion, he was considered Person of the Year for ILGA Portugal in 2017 and, in 2018, on the cover of GQ Portugal magazine.
After "Water Party", a dystopian theater show created by Mimi Collins in London, you will see him next with the premieres of the RTP series "Erro 404", the film "Prisma" by Sónia Balacó and Zé Bernardino, and also the fourth season from "Im-pertinente", the podcast from Fundação Francisco Manuel dos Santos, where Rui Maria Pêgo is paired with neuroscientist Luísa Lopes to unravel the mysteries of the brain.
The first time Rui went to ModaLisboa he was fifteen years old, and since then he has never stopped coming back.

ANTONIO D'ADDIO | IED - ISTITUTO EUROPEO DI DESIGN

Antonio D'Addio is an interdisciplinary artist, currently living between London and Milan. His practice is based on the hybridization of different techniques, combining digital arts (image and video making, 3D graphics) and fine arts (drawing and sculpture). His
research focuses on the relationship between human beings and the Earth, exploring themes of reciprocity and working on rebuilding a sense of community.
He has exhibited his works at the 2017 Venice Biennale, Palazzo Pitti, Pirelli Tower, Teatro Litta, and Teatro Giuseppe Verdi. He was the winner of the "Franca Sozzani Award 2017," "Vogue Talents Master Style," and the "Murze Magazine UK" artistic residency.
He has worked for Vivienne Westwood, Moschino, Hermès, Vogue Italia, Pitti Immagine, Ducati, and Martini. His works have been published in Vogue Italia, GQ, La Repubblica, and Il Mattino. Since 2020, he has been a lecturer at IED - Istituto Europeo di Design.

JOSÉ SOBRAL | PAATIFF

José Sobral is the Generative AI Lead at Revolve and founder of the brand Paatiff, winner of the first AI Fashion Week, an event dedicated to fashion generated using artificial intelligence. In 2023, he created the Paatiff studio with the aim of integrating fashion creation with emerging technologies, such as AI. That same year, as a result of AI Fashion Week, he produced a womenswear collection in Los Angeles in collaboration with the American company Revolve. His aesthetic is marked by the use of light, skin, shadows, innovative materials and the deconstruction of classic pieces. In 2024, he presented his collaboration with the Portuguese brand Lion of Poches, once again combining AI, sustainability and an aesthetic approach to Workwear.

TUPAC MARTIR | SATORE STUDIO

Tupac Martir is an awarded, multi-disciplinary, digital artist with a portfolio that ranges from lightning design to performative reality using ad-hoc, fast-forward technological solutions in music, theatre, fashion, opera and exhibitions.
After decades exploring technology, science and art, Tupac's recent works have delved into LLM (Large Language Model), VR (Virtual Reality) and VP (Virtual Presence) to expand and blend boundaries in entertainment, media, theatre and art with pioneer pieces such as “UNIQUE”.
In lighting design, Tupac has recently been awarded with the Profile Awards in Outstanding Achievement in Innovation for his work in “Find your Eyes,” from the British choreo-photolist Benji Reid.
