In his new collection, NUNO BALTAZAR opens the doors to his Cabinet des Curiosités, an imaginary space where objects of sentimental value, memories and personal references meet, influence one another and give rise to new narratives. A universe assembled as an archive without a rigid organising principle, shaped instead by the particular, subjective perspective of the person who brings these elements together.
Cabinet des Curiosités thus becomes a metaphor for the creative process: an intimate archive in which references from different moments, characters and visual languages coexist and are reorganised through a contemporary perspective.
The collection unfolds as a succession of discoveries. The precision of tailoring meets fluidity; structured forms coexist with transparency and more tactile materials; refined surfaces are interrupted and reconstructed through new shapes, trompe-l’œil effects, texture, shine and detail. Masculine and feminine codes intersect in an exploration of proportion and contrast that is part of the brand’s established vocabulary.
This first act marks the search for a new, more personal direction, bringing together NUNO BALTAZAR’s aesthetic codes with greater freedom, without rigid seasons or formats. Each character represents an idea, adding light and shadow to this imaginary cabinet and acquiring meaning through its relationship with the others.
There is a sense of accumulation, but never of gratuitous excess. A desire to bring together seemingly unlikely elements and discover a new harmony among them. The precious coexists with the everyday, the classical with the unexpected, memory with the present.
Rather than seeking a linear narrative, Cabinet des Curiosités celebrates freedom of association and the pleasure of constructing a creative space.
