The Portuguese brand BÉHEN is launching a new Pop-up Store tomorrow, this time in Madeira. In partnership with Barceló Funchal Oldtown, the event will take place on the 20th, 21st and 22nd of May in the hotel lobby, from 11:30am to 7:30pm.
Known for its commitment to traditional Portuguese craftsmanship and sustainability, BÉHEN is bringing to the island — which lends its name to one of the traditional embroidery techniques the brand has worked with extensively in recent years — a curated selection of exclusive designs featuring Madeira embroidery, as well as its latest SS25 collection.
This is the second Pop-Up Store organised by BÉHEN outside Lisbon, following a first edition in Porto in collaboration with the Menez project. According to the brand, the aim of these initiatives is to reach new audiences and build connections with local communities that share its values and vision.
The choice of Barceló Funchal Oldtown as a partner is no coincidence: beyond an already established relationship — which includes previous collaborations such as an exclusive tote bag — the hotel is located in a former embroidery factory, a detail that symbolically reinforces the link between BÉHEN and Madeira’s cultural identity.
Open to the public for three days, the Pop-Up Store aims to be a meeting point for all those who wish to discover BÉHEN’s work up close and explore the stories behind each design.
