Duarte Jorge and Gabriel Silva Barros are the winners of the Sangue Novo supported by Seaside competition.
After carefully evaluating the collections of the five finalists, the competition jury — Miguel Flor (Jury President), Constança Entrudo (Textile Designer), Joana Jorge (Project Manager, ModaLisboa), Rune Park (Founder and CEO, Sheet-1 store), Ana Tavares (CEO, RDD Textiles), and Danilo Venturi (Director, IED Milano) — awarded Duarte Jorge with the ModaLisboa x IED – Istituto Europeo di Design Award: a Master’s Degree in Fashion Brand Management at IED Florence, worth 24.000 euros, and a 4.000 euro scholarship.
Gabriel Silva Barros won the ModaLisboa x RDD Textiles Award, granting him the opportunity to undertake a three-month internship at RDD Textiles, developing a collection with innovative materials/processes from RDD. He also receives a 1.750 euro scholarship to develop the new collection.
Both winners will also benefit from press and showroom consultancy services at the communication agency Showpress, for one season.
