Catarina Gomes makes and develops media, innovation and journalism projects on human rights in Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America. She was a part of the global and multi-award-winning Love Matters’ funding team, and passed through NowHereMedia, a producer of immersive documentaries in virtual and amplified reality. Now she is at MANICÓMIO, where she manages programs, and where she’s going to launch a magazine and a radio. In parallel, she continues to develop media projects, like the ANTECÂMARA radio, the latest one and the first architecture radio in Portugal.
Guto Carvalho Neto is a Brazilian Fashion Designer. His work is mainly developed in Rio where he created his homonymous brand, in 2011. In 2016 he participated in Rio Fashion Week and in the short film Primeiro Grito. He also develops several artistic interventions, like the exhibition “O Nome do Medo”, exhibited at MAR (Rio arts Museum), in 2017 and, years later, at Aargauer Kunsthaus Museum, in Zurich (2021). Furthermore, he presented the Inquietudes da Carne Performance (2018), at Casa França Brasil; The “Ognuno il suo stile'' exhibition (2019), at Centro Cultural dos Correios; and MASP Moda (2021), at MASP (Saint Paulo Art Museum).
Graduated in Marketing by IPAM and a postgraduate at the Faculdade de Economia da Universidade do Porto, Henrique Prucha began his professional activity at Makro Cash & Carry. With extensive experience in the agrifood sector and in large distribution, he is, since 2016, the Commercial and Marketing Director of Água Monchique.
Liz Ricketts is an educator, designer and the co-founder of The OR Foundation, a USA and Ghana-based non-profit working at the intersection of environmental justice, education and fashion development. The OR Foundation has been researching the impacts of the secondhand clothing economy since 2016. Today, The OR is on a mission to catalyze a Justice-led Circular Textiles Economy in Accra.
Most of Marcelo Nico's professional career was developed at the Philip Morris International Group (PMI), which he integrated in 2003, having been connected to the commercial, sales and marketing areas, in markets such as Italy, Switzerland, Russia, Latin America and, for the past decade, the South Africa and Indian Islands regions, where he assumed roles of increasing responsibility, until he was appointed responsible for the entire region. Born in Argentina, Marcelo Nico is currently the General Manager at Tabaqueira, one of the biggest production centers from the PMI Group in Europe.
Ricardo Silva is graduated in Chemical Engineering. His passion for science and innovation helped Tintex become the worldwide reference in sustainable materials and textile technology. Experient in sustainable practices, he and his teams constantly investigate and search sustainable solutions to develop. This is a journey to create opportunities for a sustained and global improvement of their textiles interaction in different aspects of life, by combining creativity, science and technology.

Gonçalo Peixoto is the founder of the homonymous womenswear brand. He started studying Fashion Design in 2012 in Guimarães and later graduated from ESAD, School of Arts and Design, in Matosinhos. In September of 2017, he presented his first runway collection during London Fashion Week. In March 2018, he joined the official calendar of ModaLisboa - Lisboa Fashion Week, where he started to present his collections seasonally. His collections have drawn the attention of several highly regarded fashion stores, as well as fashion magazines and other artists.
Luís Carvalho graduated in Fashion and Textile Design at the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco. He worked at Filipe Faísca and Ricardo Preto’s studios. Luís Carvalho was a fashion designer at Salsa Jeans for two and a half years. In 2013 he created LUIS CARVALHO brand and presented his first collection at ModaLisboa and since then has been a constant presence at Lisbon Fashion Week. In 2014, he opened his first physical space in Vizela, LUIS CARVALHO | Studio, the brand's new home, which gathers his atelier and own store.
Valentim Quaresma studied in the António Arroio School of Arts and in Ar.co’s Jewellery department. He worked with Ana Salazar, creating jewellery and accessories for her collections from 1990 to 2010. In 2008, he won the prize "Accessories collection of the Year" in the international competition ITS#7 in Trieste - Italy, and started his own brand. With his FW 11/12 collection, "Alchemy", he integrates the ModaLisboa's official calendar, where he started to present his work seasonally.
Miguel Somsen, 50 years old. Somsen has a driving license for 30 years, he has been a copywriter at TVI for 20 years, he’s been on Facebook for 10 years, created Gin Lovers five years ago and wears a mask for over a year now. He studied International Relations, wrote about music, cinema, literature, travelling, gins and even about fashion in several publications which were discontinued. Life remains intact, always.

Gabriele Moschin is the Head of Education for both the Fashion Design and Fashion Business Departments, at Polimoda. He is a creative brand strategist, planner and copywriter, living and working between Milan and Florence. Previously, he was the Head of Business Department and a Senior Professor at Polimoda, teaching Art Direction, Branding, Strategic Planning, Corporate Social Responsibility and Fashion Communications for both Undergraduate and Master courses.
Duffy founded Global Fashion Exchange (GFX) in 2013 with the mission of challenging the fashion industry to create a more sustainable world through cultural forums and events. In addition to GFX, he also manages global partnerships for Common Objective, launched Mr. Duffy, a 100% circular, sustainable-focused fashion collection, and is a partner of Design Pavilion in New York.
Born in Porto, with an education in Economics, Teresa Fonseca began her journey in publicity but, since very early, she started to work in the telecommunications sector. With a professional background based on several companies and projects, she currently works at Altice Portugal as responsible, among others, for the MOCHE brand project. She is passionate for crafts, in particular for the textile arts, which she likes to explore in her free time.
Portuguese-Brazilian master researcher at the Center for Curatorial Studies (CCS) at Bard College in New York. His research on art and technology has already been awarded in Brazil by the Fundação Nacional das Artes and Fundação Bienal de São Paulo. He has passed through institutions such as Eyebeam, New Museum, and Fundação Theatro Municipal de São Paulo. Today he is coordinator of the Google Arts & Culture by Vaco for Portugal.
A trained journalist with more than two decades of television experience, nowadays Vanda Jorge is responsible for the Ecoolhunter’s column in the economic digital newspaper ECO. Recently she added to her academic portfolio an Executive Master in Luxury Brands Management. Moderator of numerous events and promoter of several talks, in 2020 she launched The PONG PING a magazine about brands and trends, which places The Future, First. By putting Cool Hunting and Innovation on Portugal's map, as the Cool Hunting Society Founder, she fulfils one of her dreams.

Author, CEO and retail expert, Helen Lambert is the founder of the renowned French retail consultancy, Lambert + Associates. In 2020, Lambert + Associates have launched The Style Pulse, a platform dedicated to retail buyers, bringing forward the latest cutting-edge collections and designs in the worlds of fashion, interiors, beauty and epicure. This new platform streamlines the process of worldwide sourcing and provides a 360° view of the retail cycle, all in one revolutionary user interface.
In 1999, inspired by his family shoemaking tradition and the desire of feathering design shoes for the future generations, Luís Onofre designed his first collection that led to the birth of his footwear brand, Luís Onofre. On the following year he specialized in the development and production of high-end women's shoes. Since May of 2017, Luís Onofre has been APICCAPS' President (Portuguese Footwear, Components, Leather Goods Manufacturers’ Association). He has also been the President of the European Confederation of the Footwear Industry (CEC), since May 2019.
Graduated in Companies Management by the Universidade do Minho, and with an MBA by the Porto Business School, Manuel Teixeira is now the CEO of Estratégia MODAPORTUGAL, an initiative promoted by ANIVEC’s business association and by CENIT. He has been the coordinator of several intervention projects in the cluster of the Textile, Clothing and Fashion Industry. For 10 years, he was the General Director of CENESTAP, a position that he accumulated with the direction of Jornal Têxtil and the portal www.portugaltextil.com. He was also the Executive Administrator of CENIT, President of the Executive Committee of ANJE, Portugal Fashion Director and Vice President of CCP.
Sara Lamúrias graduated in Fashion Design at the FA-Uisboa, in 2002. In 2003, after an internship at Bless brand in Berlin, she started to work at the brand-project aforestdesign, shown in several Portuguese and international events. Pedro Noronha-Feio graduated in Fashion Design from London College of Fashion in 2003. He had an internship at Matthew Williamson, in London. Since 2005 he has maintained a straight relationship with the fashion industry, working in several companies including Silva & Sistelo and Lanidor Group. In 2007, he's the co-founder of White Tent, participating regularly in several Portuguese and international events. In 2014, Sara and Pedro founded the Capelista Design Studio, focusing on Fashion Design and Production Services. In 2017, they launched Pecegueiro & F.os, a childrenswear brand based on family values and about maintaining the spirit of childhood in all its innocence.
Sónia Jesus, digital specialist in the Luxury Fashion sector, is an Assistant E-Merchandiser Manager at Louis Vuitton South Asia, and is responsible for the websites launching and e-commerce LV to the South Asian market — Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand and Thailand — and for the business volume growth by 3 digits (2020) form the Australian website. Before the Asian market, she was responsible for brands such as Burberry and JW Anderson.

Ana Duarte graduated in Fashion Design at FA-ULisboa and finished, with distinction, her MA in Menswear Design and Technology at London College of Fashion, in January 2015. Ana Duarte presented the first DUARTE collection at Sangue Novo at Lisboa Fashion Week in March 2015. In October 2016, she presented, for the second time, at Sangue Novo and received an Honourable Mention Award, starting to present continuously at Lisboa Fashion Week in the LAB platform. DUARTE brand intends to redefine the concept of Sportswear Luxury, creating a cool lifestyle.
João Magalhães has always been interested in the arts: he studied architecture and specialized in fashion, exploring form and construction in his creations. In 2014 he created Morecco, which started as an accessory brand, but the evolution of the concept led to ModaLisboa a year later, with the first complete ready-to-wear collection. In March 2019, he signed the first collection in his own name. João Magalhães explores an aesthetic universe marked by androgyny, the materials’ requirements and cut, by handmade techniques, from knitwear to hand embroidery.
With a degree in Communication Sciences from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Mauro Gonçalves made his debut as a journalist in late 2011. It was in a quick passage through Público that he began to develop a special appetite for fashion, culture and lifestyle. Without ever losing sight of any of the three, the following years were spent at the service of Time Out Lisboa. In 2017, he moved to the Observador newsroom, where he continues to this day. He writes mainly for the website, but also for the paper editions every now and then.

Ana Costa is dazzled by nature and an advocate for Sustainability since she was a child. She believes that Environment and Fashion are deeply interconnected. Catarina Jorge is the project manager of Porto Fashion & Fabric Museum, the Fashion and Textiles Museum of WOW. The WOW (wow.pt) is the cultural quarter of Gaia. It opened its doors on July of 2020 and since then it has five open museums, various cafes and restaurants, a whine bar and shops. In 2021, when WOW can reopen, it will be marked by another grand opening. The sixth museum will be born — the Porto Fashion & Fabric Museum. Thus, Catarina assumes the mission of communicating and revealing to the whole community some details of the new museum.

HUUB’s global supply chain ecosystem and platform enables him to empower smaller brands providing the service, experience and results that give these independent labels the same opportunities as the big corporations.
Mico Mineiro, a native from Tortosendo in Covilhã, born and raised in the industrial confection environment, a family business to which he still dedicates himself today. His higher education went through the UK, at Kingston University in London, where he deepened his knowledge in Automobile Engineering, a passion that remains today, along with Textile. It was also in the UK that he gave his first professional steps before returning to Portugal to dedicate exclusively to Twintex in 2006. Mico is curious by nature, in every moment he searches and wants to learn new solutions and new business’s methods.
Sylvie Pourrat is synonymous with the fashion accessories sector and, in particular, that of Première Classe, the international B2B event dedicated to fashion accessories and designers. Première Classe was founded in 1989 in Paris and remains the top accessories tradeshow on the international fashion scene. Sylvie has been part of Première Classe for over 20 years. From 2008 to 2018, she held the position of Director of Première Classe, and today is the Director of the Offer and Selection for the Who’s Next and Première Classe tradeshows, owned by WSN Development.

A life-long passion for design and fashion led Alexandra Pisco to Parson’s School of Design in New York, followed by work as a designer for several brands and an attempt at her own collection. In 2017, Alexandra founded Pisco & Co., an agency that aims to help strengthen independent fashion businesses in all their forms. From consulting, advising, and creating specialized programs for the development and promotion of emerging fashion brands. Alexandra acts as a conduit between the world of business, craft and creativity.
With more than 20 years of professional experience, Alexandre Fonseca is the Executive President of Altice Portugal, a leading company in Portugal’s telecommunications sector, since November 2017. He is also the Executive President of Altice Labs Portugal, the investigation and innovation center of Altice Group. Member of diverse Telecommunications Sector Associations and IT collaborates with entities as a Senior Consultant, in areas such as Projects Management, Strategy and Communication. He’s the speaker and invited professor on private initiatives and on the Telecommunications, Technology and Management academic areas.
After studying Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford University, Charlene began a career in marketing and worked at the BBC, The Guardian and Frieze. More recently, she launched A Vibe Called Tech to encourage a culturally diverse lens in design, technology, arts and culture. She currently consults for Royal Academy of Arts and Art Fund, is the Marketing lead for Society Centered Design at Projects by IF and is a member of the steering group for Chatham House and London Design Biennale Design Resonance In An Age Of Crisis. Charlene is an FT How to Spend it columnist and contributing editor who writes about Black innovators, design, travel and culture.
Nuno Marinho is the President of AORP - Portuguese Jewellery and Watchmaking Association, since 2019. Businessman in the industry for 23 years at Delfim Pires Marinho Alves & Filho, a family-owned business specialized in casting. The company, with almost 60 years of experience in the industry, is one of the oldest members of AORP.
Risto Kuulasmaa works with high performing executives, entrepreneurs, founders and specialists helping them to reach their goals and become better. Risto has an award-winning career in media and marketing as a strategist and hands-on executive producer connecting the dots between different platforms including television, events, feature films and publishing. Risto has raised seven figures for his own startup and he works as a senior advisor for large corporations. He is an executive director at Presidents Institute executive network and a board member at UNICEF Finland.
Polimoda Fashion Design Coordinator and Resident Lecturer in Sociology of the Imaginary, Silvia Tolaro has a conceptual and interdisciplinary approach to cultural and countercultural fashion phenomena. With her international experience in Trend forecasting, Tolaro provides consultancy for emerging Designers. Carolina Raquel graduated from Fashion Design Womenswear at London College of Fashion in 2018. While studying, she worked with different designers and creative teams: Alexandra Moura, Christopher Kane, Roksanda and Simone Rocha. In October 2018, she presented ‘induviae’, her graduate collection, at Sangue Novo, the Young Designers Competition of ModaLisboa, being awarded with the FashionClash prize. In March 2019, Carolina presented ‘A complex form’ at Sangue Novo and was awarded with the ModaLisboa Award for Best National Designer: a Master’s in Collection Design, at Polimoda, in Florence.
Filipe Augusto graduated in Fashion Design at Modatex, Porto, in October 2016. He worked as an intern at the atelier of the Portuguese designer, Luís Buchinho and in 2017, he joined Principal Magazine's team, as production assistant and stylist for the fashion editorials. In October 2017 and March 2018, he presented two collections at the Sangue Novo competition of ModaLisboa. In the first edition of the contest, he received an honorable mention and in the second he won the first place. In June 2018, he started his career as instructor at the Modatex textile and fashion school and in October of the same year, he joined the Workstation platform at ModaLisboa.
From an early age linked to the artistic production, Inês Baptista graduated in Art History from the University of Coimbra. She was a dancer and teacher of classical ballet, having been part of her career the design of dance costumes. Inês found in fashion a new way of expression, bringing her narratives to life through her creations. In 2018 she joined the Master in Fashion Design at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon. In March 2020, she won the ModaLisboa x Polimoda award in Sangue Novo, ModaLisboa’s Young Designers Competition, which gave her the opportunity to attend a Master in Collection Design at Polimoda, in Florence.
Sandra Dias works in Fashion for more than 20 years and, for the last 18, she has been doing so in the media. In 2019, she founded the digital platform terramotto.com, where she writes about fashion and sustainability. At the same time, she promotes awareness actions for the selective gathering of textiles and accessories. She was the fashion editor of LuxWoman magazine. Before that, she integrated the founding team of Vogue Portugal. She passed through Elle Portugal and collaborated with Máxima, Umbigo and Dif magazines. Graduated in Fashion Design from IADE, Sandra was José António Tenente’s assistant. She adores fashion and believes that the sector can reinvent itself to be more sustainable.

Albini is CEO and founder of IDEE Brand Platform and has entrepreneurial experience for more than ten years in different industries. He is also equity partner of Roy Srl, a company operating in the entertainment and event industry. In fashion, after a first experience at Marc Jacobs and LVMH group, he has been working in IDEE Partners since first start-up steps, up to CFO & Business Developer position. He co-founded IDEE Brand Platform, a spin-off of IDEE Partners, focused on commercial consultancy. IDEE Brand Platform has launched, in September 2020, Sustainable Brand Platform, an innovative project to communicate the brand performances in terms of sustainability.
After more than 20 years spent dealing with production, marketing and merchandising activities, Stefano managed the brand Giuliano Fujiwara, member of the National Chamber for Italian Fashion. Today he’s fashion and merchandising consultant at IDEE BRAND PLATFORM and professor of Fashion buying, Heritage marketing and Visual merchandising at Accademia del Lusso Milan. He’s the author of several books as well as the recent “Evoluxion”, published by Franco Angeli (2020).
