FRANCISCA NABINHO

WORKSTATION DESIGN

Francisca Nabinho has training in Communication Design and holds a degree in Art History from the Universidade Nova de Lisboa and a master’s degree in Fashion Design from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon (FAUL). During her academic career, she studied in Italy and interned with the brands The Garment and Designers Remix, in Copenhagen.

Her work intersects art, nature, and fashion, exploring the relationship between matter, form, and process. Visual arts are one of the main references in her creative universe, influencing the visual and conceptual construction of her collections, while research into natural materials and the appreciation of artisanal know-how play a central role in her practice.

In 2024, she participated in the Sangue Novo competition and, the following year, joined the Workstation platform. In June 2026, she assumed the creative direction of Joalharia do Carmo, where she reinterprets Portuguese filigree through a contemporary approach.
