COMMON PLACE

For Spring/Summer 2027, we remember where we come from. Tearing up fabrics and rebuilding silhouettes. Spiralling volumes to expand. Braiding hair to hold. These are not gestures of nostalgia, they are acts of reconnection.

A wellspring of rhythm, resilience and ritual that continues to pulse through all of us, whether we acknowledge it or not.

We honour that origin through deep reverence: a dialogue between cultures. It is in this space of balance that we find our common ground, where mother languages cross, where intrinsic values speak louder than borrowed voices.

We are walking back. And this time, we are bringing everything we have learned.

We are missing rituals, connective moments. We wander in a certain nostalgia of recognition, and so we end up recreating those rituals, showing them through clothes, through social media, to connect, to amplify our silhouettes and our persona, to be seen.

Volumes breathe and become movement. They move with the body rather than constraining it. Colours are tamed but not muted: sun-baked earth, dried clay and ochre. These are the hues of memory, of place, of belonging. Deep violet and burnished gold emerge, while ivory, bone and soft blush hold the collection in quiet balance. Black anchors everything, a reminder of the soil from which we all grow.

Craft is at the core. Hand-embellishment, intricate textures and artisanal techniques speak to a slower, more intentional way of making. Fluid and sheer chiffons drape and spiral around the body, while textured jacquards add depth and tactile richness.

Fringed edges, raw strips and braided details transform each garment into a living artefact, torn, rebuilt and reborn.

The embellishments are not decorative excess; they are symbols, stories, markers of identity and care.

The prints travel through our memories, following lines and stripes, stopping against volutes. Undulating waves in black and gold ripple like visions. Abstract animal silhouettes appear as faded memories across sheer panels. Geometric motifs meet soft, hand-drawn curves that map inner landscapes. Stripes appear in countless iterations, bold, delicate, rhythmic, like the pulse of a shared human heartbeat.
