Valentim Quaresma is one of the invited artists featured in “R E S V R G E R E”, the group exhibition currently on view at Espaço Exibicionista gallery in Lisbon, bringing together contemporary artists and creatives around themes of transformation, memory and renewal.

On display until August 8, the exhibition invites visitors to reflect on the “rebirth” of humanist thought in the 21st century through the reinterpretation of classical references and open-ended approaches that establish a dialogue between past and present.

Inspired by Latin, the title “R E S V R G E R E” evokes the idea of resurgence, suggesting a continuous cycle of destruction and rebirth reflected in the works on display. The exhibition places transformation at the heart of artistic creation, in a context where the boundaries between disciplines are becoming increasingly fluid, reinforcing the gallery’s commitment to contemporary practices that bring together art, design and Fashion.

Among the participating artists is the Designer and artist Valentim Quaresma, whose distinctive practice bridges Fashion and contemporary art, expanding his creative universe beyond the runway and into the exhibition space. For “R E S V R G E R E”, he presents “O Rosto do Silêncio” (The Face of Silence), a mask crafted in metal and crystals that continues his exploration of the mask as both a symbolic and sculptural object, positioned at the intersection of Fashion, jewellery and contemporary art.

“R E S V R G E R E” celebrates the diversity of contemporary artistic practices, bringing together artists whose work occupies the intersections between disciplines while exploring new forms of visual expression.
