Today, Constança Entrudo presents her spring-summer 2025 collection at the 99 Canal art gallery, in New York. This is the Portuguese designer’s debut in New York, with a focus on the North American market, which represents 70% of her brand’s sales.
In addition to the presentation of the new collection, entitled SOS, Constança Entrudo decided to organize a career retrospective, summarizing seven years of fashion in an exhibition that invites visitors to become part of the brand’s creative process. “It will be like a process with special designs for the brand, which I define as self-referential”, explained the designer to the PÚBLICO newspaper, referring to the winter puffer coats, the denim, the Madeira embroidery collection and the garments made with thread, in a unique and very distinctive technique of the brand. “The goal of the performance is for the garments to be displayed on the wall as works of art, but also hanging from wires.” Guests will be able to try on a few garments, giving them their own interpretation and a “more inclusive look to the collection without it feeling forced”, she adds.
During the presentation, Jason Miller will photograph the collection’s lookbook, which includes garments of various sizes for different bodies.
