LISBOA FASHION WEEK: FIVE DAYS OF CULTURAL PRODUCTION, CREATION AND PARTICIPATION

ModaLisboa, ModaLisboa Priority

14 October '26

The 67th Lisboa Fashion Week brings an edition to a close that brought together Fashion, Photography, visual arts, research and industry, welcoming 11,300 guests to the Fashion shows and reaching over one million people digitally.

A Fashion Week brings together, within a very short period, working processes that unfold over months or years. Collections, artworks and research projects reach a public presentation stage, even though they emerge from practices with different timelines, methods and objectives. From 7th to 11th of October, MODALISBOA PRIORITY presented by OMODA & JAECOO brought these practices together across several venues in Lisbon, offering an insight into Fashion through its artistic production, the professional structures that make it possible and the cultural contexts in which it participates.

The 67th Lisboa Fashion Week, co-organised with Lisbon City Council and supported by Portugal Events programme, from Turismo de Portugal, welcomed 11,300 guests to its Fashion presentations, a number that is expected to rise significantly once data from the parallel programme has been collected, as activities continue at MUDE – Design Museum until October 25. Digitally, ModaLisboa recorded an 82% increase in interactions, reaching 1,009,554 people and generating 5,084,714 impressions across its social media channels. These figures are provisional, as there is still plenty to see here. Coverage by 133 media outlets, including 28 international publications, has contributed, and continues to contribute, to bringing the work of Designers and other participants to a range of audiences and markets.

The show schedule brought together Designers with established careers and new authorial approaches, showcasing a diversity of research spanning techniques, materials and forms of presentation — discover all the collections here. SANGUE NOVO and WORKSTATION gave particular visibility to the next generation, highlighting emerging creatives at different stages of their professional development. SANGUE NOVO selected five finalists who will return to Lisboa Fashion Week in March 2027: Elio, Francisco Martinho, Granatum, Marta Amorim and Ronni. This coexistence of generations is one of the defining features of Lisboa Fashion Week: following artistic journeys over time and recognising that the development of a distinctive creative language requires experimentation, resources and opportunities to engage with audiences, critics and the market.

This work was, of course, further extended through the exhibitions, talks, conferences, workshops and public showcases that contribute to the development of the cultural and creative sector: new collections and artworks, opportunities for emerging Designers, curatorial projects, training, international exchange and collaboration between professionals from different disciplines. These outcomes have different characteristics and timeframes, all of which deserve recognition when assessing an event with a 35-year history.

Lisboa Fashion Week continues on RTP, with four programmes broadcast on RTP2 from October 13 to 16, at 7.45 pm, with repeats at 12.45 am, followed by a special programme on RTP1 on October 28, at around midnight.

With the 67th Lisboa Fashion Week now concluded, the collections, exhibitions, publications and content produced become part of the independent journeys of their creators and the institutions involved. Their documentation and engagement by different audiences form part of the cultural work developed through this edition, whose impact cannot be fully assessed within the five days of the event itself.
