LISBOA FASHION WEEK STARTS TOMORROW

ModaLisboa, ModaLisboa Priority

6 October '26

From 7 to 11 October, the 67th Lisboa Fashion Week, co-organised with Lisbon City Council and supported by Turismo de Portugal’s Portugal Events programme, takes over Lisbon with a programme spanning Fashion presentations, emerging talent, industry, ideas, photography, art and opportunities to connect. MODALISBOA PRIORITY presented by OMODA & JAECOO unfolds across Pátio da Galé and venues throughout the city, from MUDE – Design Museum and MAAT Central to Sociedade Nacional de Belas-Artes, the Royal Treasure Museum, Moldo Studios and Havas Village, combining its professional agenda with a programme open to the public.

Fashion shows remain central to the programme. SANGUE NOVO and WORKSTATION introduce a new generation of Designers, while established names with distinct practices and creative languages present at Pátio da Galé and elsewhere in Lisbon. BÉHEN opens the schedule at MUDE, where Constança Entrudo and Marie Hazard present AD HOC and Carlos Gil begins a show that continues onto Rua Augusta. Adolfo Domínguez joins the programme at Pátio da Galé, Luís Carvalho presents at the Royal Treasure Museum and Portuguese Soul by APICCAPS at Havas Village. Helena Vaz Pereira makes her debut with a show that also marks a special moment in Lisboa Fashion Week’s longstanding collaboration with L’Oréal Professionnel, responsible for the hair looks across this edition’s collections. Make-up is once again by KIKO Milano, while Canon supports runway and backstage photography for the first time.

Beyond the shows, Lisboa Fashion Week creates further opportunities to meet, learn and take part. The first MODAPORTUGAL International Conference, organised by CENIT at MAAT Central, brings together creativity, industry, academia and policy. At MUDE, FAST TALKS features a conversation on Fashion and social action alongside two professional development workshops. PROVA DOS NOVE presents nine photographers connected to ModaLisboa’s history at Sociedade Nacional de Belas-Artes; WEARABLE ART – 3rd Skin brings together contemporary jewellery, sculpture and wearable structures; and Fabricaal: Tempo para o Tempo traces the continuity of Alentejo textile know-how. Gran Canaria Swim Week introduces three Canary Islands brands at Moldo Studios; the Pop-up Store, developed in collaboration with House of Curated, brings together independent Portuguese Fashion and Design; and OFF LISBOA FASHION WEEK by CONTRACOUTURA charts an independent route across the city.

At Pátio da Galé, the experience continues in the Lisboa Fashion Week Lounge, reserved for Fashion show guests. Between presentations, the OMODA 9 is on display alongside the OMODA & JAECOO space, designed as a place to pause and recharge, quite literally, with several charging points available. KIKO Milano presents The KIKO Show, its campaign starring Madonna; Renova creates an installation; Monchique, Casa Ermelinda Freitas and Engel & Völkers join the Lounge; and Évora_27 opens a portal to the future European Capital of Culture.

MODAPORTUGAL HOME brings the Portuguese Textile and Clothing Industry into the same space through materials, processes and technology. Developed as part of the LUSITANO Project, supported by the PRR, the installation draws on the close connections between Designers, manufacturers, suppliers and research centres to make tangible a production system in which industrial knowledge, creativity and technology evolve together. Materials, processes and new solutions reflect the changes already underway, from circularity and digitalisation to new materials and smart textiles, including a collaboration with Constança Entrudo featuring a digital print developed on Portuguese-made knitted fabric. HOME invites visitors to step inside, touch and experience an industry that continues to develop new ways of creating and producing in Portugal.

The international reach of Lisboa Fashion Week is also built around what happens before each presentation. The press delegation invited by Lisboa Fashion Week stays at Dom Pedro Lisboa, the official hotel, and travels around the city with OMODA & JAECOO, connecting journalists from different markets with the Designers and initiatives shaping these five days. Backstage, where much of the week takes place away from public view, Gleba supports the production teams and professionals who sustain the daily rhythm of Lisboa Fashion Week.

The programme reaches beyond the venues themselves. Fashion shows are broadcast live across Lisboa Fashion Week’s digital platforms, on the RTP website and at several locations across MOP’s network in Lisbon, bringing the collections to audiences beyond the spaces where they are presented. Over five days, Lisboa Fashion Week puts its priorities into practice: investing in authorship, creating the conditions for talent to thrive, bringing creativity and industry closer together, making knowledge accessible to the public and continuing to shape Fashion around what we believe truly matters.
