PUBLIC EVENTS: MODALISBOA PRIORITY PRESENTED BY OMODA & JAECOO

ModaLisboa, ModaLisboa Priority

30 September '26

The 67th Lisboa Fashion Week presents an extensive lineup of public initiatives across various venues in Lisbon. Exhibitions, talks, workshops, presentations, editorial projects, a Pop-up Store, and a Fashion show with registration-based seating are all part of MODALISBOA PRIORITY presented by OMODA & JAECOO, in an edition that bridges the Fashion Week’s professional calendar with a free-access cultural program.

This public dimension is structural to the ModaLisboa Association’s project and its commitment to providing access to independent Fashion. The diversity of the schedule expands this access, creating opportunities for knowledge, reflection, and education. By occupying museums, cultural institutions, independent spaces, and public areas, Lisboa Fashion Week integrates Fashion into the city’s cultural life, bringing greater visibility to the authorship, craftsmanship, and the social and productive contexts involved in its creation.

prova dos nove 04

PROVA DOS NOVE brings together Carlos Ramos, Carlos Teixeira, Inês Gonçalves, Pedro Cláudio, Pedro Ferreira, Ricardo Santos, Rita Lino, Rui Aguiar, and Rui Palma — nine photographers who, between 1991 and the present day, have been part of ModaLisboa’s history at different stages of their careers. Curated by Paulo Gomes, the exhibition extends to the practices that each artist developed before, during, and after this connection, bringing together images, languages, and eras that span more than three decades of Portuguese Fashion photography.
The Sociedade Nacional de Belas-Artes will also host two talks between the curator and the artists, which are also open to the public:
October 9 · 6:00 PM: Inês Gonçalves
October 11 · 5:00 PM: Rui Aguiar

wearable art 04

After its presentation in Dubai, WEARABLE ART – 3rd Skin arrives at Lisboa Fashion Week in a new configuration. Curated by Marita Setas Ferro, the Double J Collective exhibition brings together contemporary jewelry, sculptural pieces, and wearable structures that use the body as a support, a measure, and an active part of the work.
Amanda Stumpf, Armin Najib, CARLA_M, Henar Iglesias, Joana Santos, Kolovrat, Nasim Javid, Noura Alserkal, Olga Noronha, Taibe Palacios, and Valentim Quaresma make up the Lisbon Edition. Between objects designed to be worn and others that claim the autonomy of the artistic work, the exhibition — on display at MUDE until October 25 — develops the concept of a “third skin” based on the jewelry’s capacity to amplify the silhouette, embody memory and identity, and alter the physical experience of the body.

gran canaria swim week 04

Gran Canaria Swim Week arrives at Lisboa Fashion Week as part of its internationalization project, developed with the Gran Canaria Chamber of Commerce, continuing its approach to the Portuguese market. Promoted by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and integrated into the Gran Canaria Moda Cálida program, it is the only professional Fashion Week in Europe dedicated exclusively to swimwear.
The presence in Lisbon also materializes the collaboration established through the European Fashion Alliance, of which the ModaLisboa Association and Gran Canaria Moda Cálida are members. In this edition, three brands present distinct perspectives on contemporary swimwear from the Canary Islands: Elena Morales presents La Costa, featuring refined silhouettes, solid colors, and timeless design; Mommy Loves, by Carlota Guillemet, brings Isleña, inspired by the identity, landscapes, and women of the archipelago; and Maldito Sweet presents Maldito Crucero, a reinterpretation of nautical imagery in black, khaki, and white.

Presented at Lisboa Fashion Week, the publication builds a record of the people, processes, and knowledge that ensure this continuity, tracking the changes of an industrial activity deeply connected to the territory.
